1917 - The Film Vault

Sam Mendes directs and writes this war drama which follows two young soldiers during WWI as they are sent on a dangerous mission that, if successfully carried out, could save the lives of 1,600 British men. Private Schofield (George MacKay) and Private Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) have been tasked with delivering a message across the enemy line which will save the battalion from a deadly ambush into which they are currently being lured. Blake, however, has taken the mission even more personally, after learning that his brother is among the men in danger.

The cast also includes Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch and Mark Strong.
