Running Against The Wind

Jan Philipp Weyl co-writes and directs this drama set in Ethiopia. Abdi (Ashenafi Nigusu) and Solomon (Mikias Wolde) are childhood friends who are inseparable and each share high hopes for their respective futures. However, as adults their lives contrast greatly as Abdi becomes a national champion at running but Solomon struggles to hold down a job and finds himself turning to petty crime in order to survive.

Following their estrangement, the pair reunite but will their differences affect their ability to remain friends?
