Digitally remastered reissue of the 1973 album by this London-born singer/songwriter. This album expands his focus on politics and famine in third world countries and references the dishonesty of religion and the rise of the tabloid state - as he says, he is often provoked (by the hypocrisy of societies) rather than inspired into work. For the Children offers an eclectic collection of songs, with more swirling electric numbers, such as 'Somesay' and the bubbling psychedelia of 'Entertainment Value', sitting next to more traditional sounding Labi on songs such as 'If You Have Faith', 'Prayer' and 'Give Love'.
