Bach & Telemann: Arias

For his new album, Valer teamed with the renowned Ensemble Kammerorchester Basel under the direction of violinist Julia Schröder and chose arias by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and arias from the less known operas by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767).

The album includes arias from Bach's cantatas ,, Ich habe genug", ,, Vergnügte Ruh beliebte Seelenlust" and ,, Lasst uns sorgen, lasst uns wachen", the aria "Et exsultavit spiritus meus" from Magnificat in D Major and the aria "Laudamus te" from the Mass in B Minor. Valer also picked arias from less known Singspiels by Telemann, "Miriways" and ,, Sieg der Schönheit", and an aria from Telemann's opera "Flavius Bertaridus". The album includes an instrumental piece by Bach, the famous Violin Concerto in E Major.
