Louis Armstrong
"Louis In London" is a previously unreleased live album that showcases the final iconic performance of Louis Armstrong, one of the most celebrated American musicians in history. This exclusive live recording was captured at the BBC on July 2, 1968, shortly after Armstrong topped the UK charts with his timeless hit, "What A Wonderful World."
The album features high-quality audio, presenting Armstrong as he performs a range of classics, from W.C. Handy’s "Ole Miss"—the first song he ever played publicly—to his chart-buster "What A Wonderful World." Additionally, the album includes Armstrong's memorable renditions of global hits like "Mack The Knife" and "Hello, Dolly!"
Originally aired as part of BBC TV’s "Show Of The Week – Louis Armstrong" on September 22, 1968, this release marks the first time the performance has been made available as an album.
