F6

Vortice begins in 2001, after Rafael Chavarria and Harry Boschini leave their previous band. Together with long time friend Alfonso Perez, they start exchanging ideas. In 2002, they are joined by vocalist Edoardo Alfaro and eventually Calos Abarca replaces Jocniam Castillo as bass player. They began recording and released their first album in 2004. The CD features 12 tracks filled with energy and emotion. The music is a mix of contemporary metal with thrash and heavy metal. The lyrics are based on personal experiences from the band's members. It was recorded, produced and mixed by the band in their own studio. The album is called 'F6', a title that is based on the scale used to measure tornadoes, which is directly related to the band's own name (Spanish for 'Vortex').
