'La Muerte' marks the sixth album in a career dating back to 1989 for Holland's Gorefest - a band who have had an exceptionally dedicated following since the early 1990s. After disbanding in 1998 fans figured it was all over. Lo-and-behold another bloody reunion. But, it's definitely a positive for all involved. 'La Muerte', it seems, has been well worth the effort. The albums plays through at a fairly mid-tempo pace, while quite a menacing mood is created combining counteracting sustained and muted riffs, galloping drums and drawn out Lee Dorrian-esque vocals.
