James Bond Theme
Monty Norman
In a black and gold foil blocked sleeve and matching labels, this limited edition 7" single of the "James Bond Theme" features Vic Flick, who played the iconic guitar line on the original John Barry arrangement of the ubiquitous movie title music by Monty Norman. The theme was realised in 1962 for Dr. No, when Barry was brought in by the film's producers to give Norman's music an edgier feel. John Barry brought Vic Flick with him and the iconic surf-style guitar sound over Barry's brass arrangement resulted in the enduring classic theme still identified with the franchise today. The single's B side features the classic Bond song "Goldfinger", sung by Louise Dearman.
