Freddie King
Born in Texas, the legendary blues guitarist Freddie King moved with his family to the South Side of Chicago in 1950 where he began to perfect his unique guitar style based on Texas and Chicago influences. King's career exploded in the early 1960's and he became one of the most influential guitarists of his generation. Presented here is his first official single, released in 1956. The a side is "Country Boy," a duet with singer Margaret Whitfield. The B side is "That's What You Think." Both songs feature guitarist Robert "Junior" Lockwood. Newly remastered.
