Boris Et Ses Interpretes Vian
Boris Vian is a major writer of French literature of the twentieth century (Foam of the Daze (or Froth on the Daydream), The Red Grass, Heartsnatcher, Autumn in Peking, Vercoquin and the Plankton, Turmoil in the Swaths). He was also a very prolific songster. He wrote more than 500 songs! His short existence (he died at the age of 39) will have enabled him to achieve barely half.
The songs presented here in the 10 CDs-box covering the period 1945-1962, whether sung by Boris Vian himself or by his interpreters, show an incredible modernity, as if their author, this was perhaps his tragedy, had been way ahead of his time. Over the years, the number of artists who have performed Vian is immense.
