Quintet Bumbac delivers here its first Opus. The melodies from this album, mainly composed by David Brossier, partly draw their influences from the Balkans. They refers to his journeys, to the people he met in these different countries. These are twinkles, testimonials, tributes... Crossing the codes, styles, rythms and harmonies, his compositions and arrangements have their very own identity. Greek dances "à la Bulgare", Romanian melodies tainted of Middle-Eastern sounds, Turkish dances colored with Balkanic/Gypsy harmonies... This album will take you away to an imaginary country in the Balkan region, crossroad of cultures and scents.
