Parking Elise Dabrowski

The singer Elise Dabrowski gathers the musicians Olivier Lété (electric bass) and Fidel Fourneyron (trombone) to form a trio of free compositions. Seeking a music full of depth and contrasts, this trio creates new spaces where the different timbres bring us into various worlds that could sound like jazz but are really something else. A powerful instrumental solo sometimes arises from long hypnotic sections. The voice can sometimes merge with the two other instruments and sometimes stand out and let burst rage, joy, and even a form of ecstasy. "Parking » is a straight, white line. A string, or rather strings, sharp, thick and yet fragile, scarcely lit up by an overhanging and shaky light. The hot macadam becomes tighter as the night gets over it, and suddenly seems to be alive. Unusual things are happening in this car park where all video cameras have been turned off. It looks like an unchanging landscape, where time has stopped. Yet, if you look at it carefully, straight lines become curves, the impeccable paint cracks, dust covers everything, roots start showing under the ground.
