The composer, tenor saxophonist and keyboarder Eddie Harris (1934–1996) is considered as a pioneer of instrumental innovations and an accomplished musician. His first jazz album, "Exodus To Jazz", attained gold status, and the later "Swiss Movement" (Atlantic SD-1537), recorded together with Les McCann, was one of the best-selling albums in the history of jazz.
