'Left Alone' is an album by American jazz pianist Mal Waldron recorded in 1959 and released on the Bethlehem label. "Left Alone" is Waldron's signature song and is written by singer Billie Holiday and Mal Waldron. "Left Alone" is one of seven songs written by or co-written by Billie Holiday that she never recorded. The Mal Waldron Trio are: bassist Julian Euell and drummer Al Dreares. The album as a whole is a typically atmospheric Waldron trio date. This can be felt on a haunting version of "You Don't Know What Love Is," and a quite unrecognizable take on Sonny Rollins's "Airegin." The addition of altoist Jackie McLean to the trio on the heart-shredding title track is another distinguishing element. Waldron dedicated the album to Lady Day.
