Someone s obviously out to get them and in this Twilight Zone they ve found themselves in, they must gather their resources to fight for their lives against a deeply corrupt system. John D. MacDonald was a writer way ahead of his time, and his Travis McGee books are as entertaining, insightful, and suspenseful today as the moment I first read them.
