Celebrating its tenth release Culprit welcomes another extremely exciting and upwardly mobile young American producer to its fold, M A N I K. Born and raised in NYC, and with an accent to match. 2010 has been a break out year for this 24 yr old with his own original material appearing on some of the best underground electronic labels including Josh Wink's Ovum, Poker Flat, Four: Twenty and Chicago's very own Fresh Meat - run by legendary Audio Soul Project. As a DJ and producer it’s impossible to put M A N I K in any one box. Graduating from school in 2007 with a degree in Music Business, he is not by any means your typical artist. Being heavily inspired by a diverse and comprehensive musical background, his style is a unique blend of cutting edge house, futuristic techno and deep, classic old school grooves, along with dark & edgy sounds. From the deep and groovy ‘McLovin’ You’ to the old school techno feel of ‘Crooklyn’ this is a great four track EP, that further cements Culprit’s burgeoning status as a cutting edge new label.
