A prequel to After the Day, Remnants of the Day fills the three year space that readers have been curious about. This books follows the main characters of the Post apocalyptic hit from before the Day until three years after. After a nuclear bomb is detonated in Washington D. C. the United States is thrown into chaos. A week later the power goes out across the country. In the first three years the population is a small fraction of what it was. The government officials try to leave the country. A flu runs rampant the first winter when immune systems are already weakened from lack of food. Reluctant alliances are made between people for survival. Find out for the first time what happened during those first three years.
