Greta Thunberg Voyage of La Vagabonde

Greta Thunberg had originally planned to visit the United States and speak at the United Nations in New York and then work her way towards a climate summit in Chile. Political unrest in Chile cause the summit o be cancelled and it was rescheduled to Madrid s she had to reschedule her trip t go back across the Atlantic by sailing ship. She luckily was able t make hasty arrangements to eave from the East coast of America. Here is an 18,000 word-account of her voyage on a 48 foot catamaran sailboat, La Vagabonde. The energy was by wind and some solar for cooking and the food was all vegan. The crew included Nikki Henderson a young Englishwoman hi had previously sailed around the world. Much of this book is taken from her sailing log account of their voyage from Virginia to Lisbon, Portugal. Enjoy reading this account. It is exciting and inspiring, an important part of our history f the fight against the climate crisis. There is also a chapter about Greta meeting with fellow teenage climate activist, Mary Ellis Stevens in Charlotte, North Carolina.
