True Patriotism
Barbara a Osborn
In this action-filled trilogy, Lieutenant Ian Black starts his intelligence career in Cyprus searching for Greek terrorists that are trying to drive the British out and unite the island with Greece. While there, he falls in love with a nurse but unfortunately a tragedy intervenes with their romance. London politics overrules the British military and Lieutenant Black ends up in Berlin a few months before the infamous Wall is erected. He tours East Germany, tracking Soviet troop and equipment movements. Ian falls for a German fräulein who turns out to be a mole as well as a swallow. When his father dies, Ian uses his dual citizenship and travels to the United States. There he manages to obtain a commission in the U. S. Air Force and ends up in Vietnam with the USAF Security Service. During the Vietnam War, Captain Ian Black is responsible for investigating and documenting the North Vietnam Integrated Air Defense System. In addition, he saves a downed pilot in the South and flies into the North to find out if the new anti-radiation missile works. Ian Black, by his actions, is a true patriot for Britain and the United States.
