Flowing from the Depth of My Soul

Flowing from the Depth of My Soul gained its title from the author's passion for words. Once her fifth grade teacher introduced her to journaling, Margaree couldn't put her pencil down. She was quiet, shy, soft spoken and often down right silent. It was in her best interest to keep quiet in a large family and a racist society. Family dynamics and Jim Crow law didn't give her a sense of security. The poems in this collection reflect her life during that time. Her written was a survival mechanism in a most challenging time in her life. Her spiritual growth was also a contributing factor to helping her survive the challenging of her youth.
