Love Is Made in Heaven

Love is Made in Heaven/Romance is Made on Earth is my forty-first (41st) book of poetry. Ten sections contain ten poems each for a total of one hundred (100) poems that I consider the minimum number for each volume: Section 1: Love Made in Heaven is the eternal, spiritual vision of love that we all desire and for which we yearn. Section 2: Romance Made on Earth is love that invokes all the senses in our mortal souls and hearts. Section 3: Days of Gold is nostalgia for youth and country living in a simpler time. Section 4: Happy Days continues the theme, but with flowers gardens, wishes and gumdrops. Section 5: Fun for All employs my sense of humor such as a song, "I Got a Piece of Your Mind" and tarantulas on a vacation. Section 6: Things to Ponder reveals why Texans love Stetsons, communing with the dead, the value of life's conflicts. Section 7: Wisdom Seekers takes up the case of the elderly understanding more and reasons we need their experience. Section 8: Faith Works Wonders considers how faith and hope work together to achieve miracles and changing lives. Section 9: Rights and Riots speaks for social justice, while containing violence in our society under contemporary dysfunctional conditions. Section 10: May, June and July Holidays is poetry for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day with a couple of poems about the Vietnam War Memorial. Roy E. Peterson won awards for his solo music abilities, ascended the officer ranks in the military, served as a Foreign Service Diplomat in Russia, was selected as the first U. S. Foreign Commercial Officer in the Russian Far East, and was a major contributor to national intelligence collection and analysis. He learned Russian, German, and Vietnamese in the military and used them in his countries of assignment. Roy E. Peterson is a member of the American Academy of Poets and Society of Classical Poets. Academically, Roy E. Peterson has three Master's degrees, and over 200 postgraduate hours. He has taught for various universities in the fields of American Government, Global Business Management, American History, World History, Political Theory, and World Politics.
