"Velkommen til The Nothing". Sådan slutter sidste linje i Korn-frontmand Jonathan Davis' beskrivelse af gruppens nye album, der består af 13 nye sange. Som titlen på albummet antyder, er der tale om et meget mørkt udspil, præget af en turbulent periode i Davis' liv, hvor han bl.a. mistede sin kone gennem næsten 15 år. Samtidig er albummet rent musikalsk en naturlig forlængelse af bandets forrige album, The Serenity Of Suffering, hvor lyden var hårdere og mere energisk end nogensinde før.

Jonathan Davis' fulde beskrivelse af det nye album: "Deep, within our Earth lives an extraordinary force.
