Shannon Greer went up to the Mountains of Oregon to treat a man with a gunshot wound. She had no idea what she was getting into. A Texas Ranger shows up to arrest the men that brought her here. On the way down a Hillbilly family stops them all from leaving and demands that Shannon marry one of them men, because it's indecent to camp out with such rangy men all night and not be married to one of them. So she's forced into a Shotgun Marriage. But the man she marries, the Texas Ranger, is taking the men to jail in Texas. Afraid he might not come back and help her get an annulment, she decides she's going to Texas with him. After all, he could easily get killed and she'd never even know he was dead!
