There are holy men in India called Sadhus who thrive by living in a semi-starvation condition. They practice holding themselves in yoga positions for many hours at a time. Disciplined breathing. Deep meditation. Their bodies allocate most of their available energy to their minds. And this goes on for many years. They try to unite with a universal spirit. That becomes their lifetime quest. They call it the search for self. Eventually some of the Sadhus develop special functions. Some become impervious to hot coals. Some have the gift of mental telepathy and mind reading. Even more rare are those that levitate themselves off the ground and in conjunction with that, they can walk on top of water. Believe it. It is true. The most unusual quality is possessed by very few. One was the legendary Prabupa. He could resurrect people from the dead. This play is about him and how he acquired his special power.
